China has compiled a list of U.S.-made products exempt from 125% tariffs, including certain pharmaceuticals, chips, and aircraft engines, and is quietly notifying relevant companies of the policy, Reuters cited two people with the knowledge of the matter.

Chinese authorities have not publicly disclosed the specific contents of this whitelist, and the number of items on the list remains unclear, report told.

One U.S. pharmaceutical company was reportedly informed of the whitelist by the government in Pudong, Shanghai, while some companies were asked to privately contact authorities to verify if their imported products qualify for exemptions.

Additionally, two other sources divulged that China is conducting surveys among companies to assess the impact of the tariff war.
